At Haas Group International I performed a large variety of tasks.
One of my main tasks was to create a list of approvers for different sites and products.
This was for the Non-Purchase Order items only which had a large backlog of old items about 600. This project required me to work with limited information often only the shipping address to identify the correct location and approver. Another facet of this was that I had to ensure that the approver was working through the workflow at a reasonable pace so that the bills got paid. Lastly I would enter all of the information about the invoice with the correct GL coding into SAP. By the end of my internship I had the invoice backlog down to about 60.
Another major task was to conduct an internal audit of accounts payable to ensure that all invoices for a particular company had been recoiled with the purchase orders correctly. This also required reviewing on account payments to ensure that the correct invoices were applied to them.
